Our History

Founded in 1959 to serve regular and associate members of Local 697, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 697 Federal Credit Union is a member owned and operated financial institution guided by a five-member volunteer Board of Directors. Since then the Federal Credit Union has opened its membership to the employees of the Local 697 Apprenticeship and Training School, the Local 697 Pension Fund and NECA-IBEW Local 697 Health and Welfare Plan. The Federal Credit Union is also open to members and employees of members of the Northern Indiana Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association, Inc. Immediate family members are also eligible to join.
